Select Your Files
Choose which files or folders to protect. Annex doesn't monitor your system or scan your drives, it only encrypts exactly what you point it to, and nothing else.
Start a Session
Initiate a protected session and Annex begins encrypting your selected files locally. Everything happens on your device, your files never leaves your machine.
Work Normally
Your selected files are encrypted on disk and invisible to AI assistants and other applications. Everything else works exactly the same as before.
End Session
When you're ready, enter your pin and end the session. Your files decrypt and return to their original state. The pin ensures that no agent can end a session on your behalf.
AI assistants are increasingly being granted access to local files, often by default and without clear disclosure. Most users don't realize how much of their data is exposed during a normal session. Existing security tools weren't designed with this threat model in mind.
